Born Free USA, a national animal advocacy nonprofit, works in West Africa to combat the illegal wildlife trade and to protect animals in their habitats. Centering local communities, our work facilitates training for law enforcement officials, wildlife authority representatives, and judges, among other groups. Our work provides the skills and training needed to effectively combat illegal trade in the relevant regions. We encourage those concerned with protecting species and the environment to support projects working at the frontline of conservation and ensure that your efforts are focused where they are most needed – to keep wildlife in the wild.
