Charlie is a committed conservationist, safari guide and environmental writer. After graduating with an MA in History from Edinburgh University, he relocated to South Africa where he qualified as a nature and trails guide, leading guests in remote big 5 game areas. Charlie’s work in this area includes wildlife monitoring, especially in rhino protection, game capture and release, and habitat management. Back in Europe, Charlie has also worked with the Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust in conserving and restoring endangered seabird populations to their native breeding grounds, all while contributing to Earth.org.
